Senior Pastor, New Seasons Church Chicago

We are honored to welcome Pastor Glenn D. Bone III as the new senior pastor of New Seasons Church Chicago, serving faithfully alongside his wife of 28 years, Carla K. Bone. Together, they bring a heart for ministry, community impact, and transformational leadership to this next chapter in the life of our church.

Pastor Glenn has served in ministry for over 14 years as the founding and senior pastor of Good Seed Ministries, based in Chicago, Illinois. Under his leadership, the church experienced significant growth, guided by the principles of Pastor Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life. In 2005, Good Seed Ministries received the prestigious Church Health Award, given to only 66 churches worldwide.

In addition to his pastoral work, Pastor Glenn has over 15 years of experience as a financial planner and advisor, having worked in the securities and mortgage industry in both Chicago and Monterey, California. He also served in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord as an infantry soldier.

His educational background includes finance studies at Roosevelt University and Monterey Peninsula College. He also completed coursework through the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado, and held insurance and securities licenses in the state of Illinois.

Pastor Glenn is known for his dedication to financial literacy and education. He has lectured at Chicago City Colleges, presented financial seminars nationwide, and served as program director of the $martkids Financial Literacy Program, impacting over 6,000 students in Chicago and Pasadena, California. He has also been a guest on numerous radio and TV programs and hosted the weekly radio show Sowing Seeds on AM1570 in Chicago. His writings have appeared in the Windy City Word Newspaper and have been distributed nationwide.

He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of New Seasons Church Chicago. Pastor Glenn is also a Purpose Driven Church Trainer and Regional Director in partnership with Saddleback Church in California. He is the founder and CEO of D3 Financial Inc. & D3 Coaching, licensed in Illinois, Texas, and Virginia.

Now stepping fully into his new assignment, Pastor Glenn, alongside Carla, is excited to lead a thriving ministry focused on transformation, healing, and community outreach. His life verse continues to guide his journey:

Carla K. Bone proudly serves as Senior Pastor of New Seasons Church Chicago alongside her husband, Pastor Glenn D. Bone III. Together, they lead with vision, compassion, and a deep commitment to transforming lives through the power of faith and community.

Carla is also the President and CEO of CK Bone Ministries Inc., a 501c3 ministry dedicated to bringing hope and healing to women impacted by domestic violence and trauma. A survivor of over 20 years of domestic violence herself, Carla attributes her strength and resilience to her unwavering faith in God, grounded in Isaiah 53:4-5. Her personal journey fuels her mission to help women heal and rediscover their purpose. With her dynamic and relatable teaching style, Carla has touched countless lives and inspired many to overcome life’s challenges.

In July 2023, Carla released her first book, Why Me?, published by Trilogy Publishing Company. The book takes readers on a powerful journey through her life experiences, offering insight, encouragement, and guidance on how to rise above adversity and walk in purpose. Carla currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for New Seasons Church Chicago and also holds a seat on the Board of Directors for Good Seed Ministries International Inc. Her leadership background spans across a wide range of ministry and nonprofit areas, including biblical expository teaching, motivational speaking for adults and youth, creative event planning, baptism and  coordination, children’s and women’s ministries, financial ministry, and nonprofit board training and development.

A licensed Financial Services Specialist (FSS), Carla holds licenses in both Texas and Illinois and is the proud owner of D3 Financial. She previously served six years on the Board of Directors for Chicago Family Health Centers, a nonprofit organization with five clinics across the city of Chicago, and earned her board development certification through IPHCA.

Carla’s dedication to ministry has taken her far beyond the local church. Alongside her husband of 28 years, she recently traveled to Uganda, Africa, as part of a mission team to help implement the Purpose Driven Church model in churches across the country.

She studied Business Administration and Accounting at Phillips College and is currently attending Liberty University, majoring in Religion. Carla has been a featured speaker at numerous organizations and events, including Sarah’s Inn, the Center for Prevention, Family Rescue, Bradley University, as well as various churches, schools, and community forums.

Carla is a proud mother of five children: Malachia, Glenndon, Glenn, Gionne, and Dorian, and a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Reigna Katerina Lawrence, and four wonderful grandchildren.
